Walker County 4-H Food Show
Monday, January 25, 2021 (Seniors & Clover Kids)
Tuesday, January 26, 2021 (Intermediates)
Thursday, January 28, 2021 (Juniors)
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s County Food Show will be held via ZOOM. A complete schedule, including interview schedule and skills/knowledge showcase will be determined based on entries. Interviews and tests may be scheduled on different days for each age division if necessary.
All of the rules and guidelines pertaining to the 4-H Food Show are in the Rules and Guidelines document below. Entry paperwork is due by 5:00 PM January 19, 2021. You can complete your entry by emailing your entry to Rachel Cooper at: firstname.lastname@example.org
This contest is open to ALL Walker County 4-H members.
Clover Kids are also invited to participate in this contest. Clover Kids will need to turn in the page of the entry form with your name and recipe to let us know you are entering the contest. Then prepare a page/poster with pictures of you making your dish for the interview. The pictures should be on a poster or on a piece of paper. (Complete this however is easiest for you.)
The paperwork for 4-H’ers in grades 3-12 is in a fillable format below. Please note that an “Eligibility Form” (which is inside the rules and guidelines packet) is needed for all participants in grades 3-12. Please print the Eligibility Form and take it to school to have your school counselor or other school administrator sign off that you are academically eligible to participate in the Food Show. (As with all competitions in 4-H, a student must be academically eligible to participate in this contest and this is verified by the school.)
If you have any questions at all about the 4-H Food Show, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the Extension Office.
